BILGE EBIRI – Writer/Director/Producer
Bilge Ebiri was born in England and raised in Turkey and the U.S. He studied film at Yale, where his thesis film Bad Neighborhood won the Lamar Prize for film in 1995. In 1997, Ebiri worked as an assistant director on the epic film The Barber of Siberia by Oscar-winning filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov. Ebiri has also worked as a journalist and film critic. New Guy is his first feature film.

KELLY MILLER (Gregg)
New Guy marks Kelly Miller's feature film debut. His past acting credits come from the New York stage, where he has performed in the New York premiere of Paddywack at the Mint Theater, as well as Shopping and Fucking, Habeas Corpus, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. As the son of a retired Air Force pilot, he has lived all over the United States and Europe but now calls New York home. He is a graduate of Indiana University and The Jim Bonney Acting Studio.


SCOTT JANES (Jim)
Scott Janes lives in New York where he has appeared in numerous stage productions, independent short films, and daytime dramas. Regionally, he has worked at the Denver Center Theater Company, Missouri Repertory Theater, American Stage, Two Rivers Theater Company, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. He has an M.F.A from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor’s Degree from Middlebury College. New Guy marks his first feature film.


JONATHAN UFFELMAN (Justin)
Jonathan Uffelman is a member of New York’s prestigious Acting Company (’98-’01) where he performed such roles as Bob Acres in The Rivals, Ivar in O Pioneers!, Caliban in The Tempest, Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Ageon in Comedy of Errors. He also prowled the streets of Scotland in David Mamet’s The Frog Prince at Edinburgh’s International Fringe Festival. Jonathan has appeared at numerous regional theatres including four seasons at The Berkshire Theatre Festival where he played The Third Man in The Baltimore Waltz, Actor C in the world premiere of Beth Henley’s L-Play, and Abbe de Coulmier in Quills. He has performed stand-up comedy at Caroline’s Comedy Club and taught Shakespeare workshops all over the country. He holds an MFA in Acting/Directing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.


JOHNNY RAY (The Janitor)
A San Francisco native, Johnny Ray discovered theatre in 1995 at the American River City College in Sacramento, California. He then headed to Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2001 with degrees in theater and film. He also studied classical theatre at the British American Dramatic Academy in London. In 2002, he made his network television debut opposite Tom Sizemore on the Michael Mann drama “Robbery Homicide Division.”
