NEW GUY
Synopsis
"The dark side of The Office" -Logan Hill, New York magazine
Indeed, all is not well in this corporate wasteland. Soon, Gregg discovers that his
predecessor didn’t exactly depart under the most amicable circumstances. But he doesn’t
have the time to worry about that – he’s too busy trying to stay on top of his new job,
which entails everything from battling an annoying toy car driving around the office,
to arguing with a troublesome janitor, to trying – repeatedly – to send out an allegedly
important fax.
As day turns to night, Gregg begins to wonder if he’ll ever be able to leave this place.
And he slowly realizes his new workplace is more than just strange; it could very well
be lethal. In the words of another employee: “Things are not what they seem here…”

GREGG’s first day at his new job starts off strangely, as he discovers his cubicle is
covered in a sea of Post-Its left behind by his predecessor. In fact, everything at this
new office seems a bit strange: One employee stands disconsolately by a fax machine all day
long; another can’t stop chatting with his girlfriend on the phone; two others stand
gossiping by a coffee machine, oblivious to everything around them. Grown men cry in
public, and the whole company seems to be headed for trouble.
But Gregg doesn’t want to make any waves; after all, he doesn’t want to start off on
the wrong foot.
